Recooling valves are designed to protect a boiler against overheating in case of a power failure or circulation pump breakdown.

One-way  valves are intended for use in boilers equipped with a recooling heat exchanger. They are designed to be mounted directly on a boiler, either with the sensor immersed in heating water or a capillary type with sensor in a sheath. For pellet boilers a recooling capillary valve for the fuel feeder is available that will prevent pellets to get ignited in the feeder..

Two-way  valves are intended for direct recooling of boiler water without a recooling heat exchanger. A pressure reducing valve should be fitted at the cold water inlet into the valve that will prevent overpressure in the heating system when the recooling valve opens.
